Working on DRAs

Discussion on what goes in Literacy folders and cum folders
Third grade transition - speaking to third grade teachers when it is necessary to share successful interventions for students

Spirit day - second grade is blue

Summer activities are being put together to send home with all second grade students to help prevent summer slide

In our next meeting we will discuss the following topics:

October 22nd - ELA based - Module 1 - writing

Future Topics - Module 5, Discussion of assessment data, Datacation, Resources, Teaching Strategies, Reviewing Rubric, Strategies to help students that are struggling with Reading and Writing words

March 11th - Unit 4 Assessment - have assessment scored and put into datacation


February 5th - Datacation and how can we use the information

January 22nd - What road blocks do you see as you look at Unit 4                            of Investigations?

  2. Unit 4 Preview
    -prior to start of Unit 4 I am going to dedicate a day or two towards telling time to address some challenges they have been having with the limited exposure they get from Investigations.

    -I will be adjusting the suggested scope and sequence to cover the Pictograph lessons prior to the bar graphs. Understanding pictographs is a precursor to bar graphs and provide the foundation that bar graphs are built on.

    Question???
    Should there be a set time limit on our assessments?
